The First Coast is a region of northeast Florida and is also considered as the state’s best-kept secret which is famous for its historical significance. So you won’t want to miss it because this area offers a wonderful fusion of natural wonders, immaculate beaches, and relaxed lifestyles, from the metropolitan elegance of Jacksonville to St. Augustine, the country’s oldest city. Many ask “What is considered Northeast Florida”, well it includes the entire Jacksonville area, it is the region of the state along the Atlantic coast that is located north of the Daytona Beach region. It encompasses the counties of Clay, Nassau, St. Johns, Duval, and Flagler.

Duval County racial/ethnic groups are 65.80% White (63.6% were Non-Hispanic White,) 27.83% African American or Black, 0.33% Native American, 2.71% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 1.31% from other races, and 1.96% from two or more races. 4.10% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
St. Johns County
St Johns County racial/ethnic groups are 90.92% White, 6.29% African American, 0.26% Native American, 0.95% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.55% from other races, and 0.97% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 15.8% of the population.
Northeast Florida Weather

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is a good family adventure that is constantly evolving and committed to getting better. The Land of the Tiger and African Forest exhibits at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens have recently undergone renovations, making them world-class attractions.
St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park
One of Florida’s oldest and most cherished attractions is the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park. Since 1893, it has given guests fun and instructive moments to get up close and personal with a variety of reptiles, birds, mammals, and more! The Alligator Farm, which is situated on Anastasia Island near St. Augustine, offers instructional presentations, natural exhibits, and wildlife shows.
Museum of Science & History
Through the vivid presentation of scientific concepts and local history, the Museum of Science & History (MOSH) encourages the enjoyment of lifelong learning. There are three levels of displays inside MOSH’s walls making science, history, and innovation available to everyone. The Florida Naturalist’s Center, which houses creatures indigenous to northeast Florida, as well as interactive, award-winning favorites like Currents of Time and Atlantic Tails, offer something for visitors of all ages to explore. There is no end to what you may learn when you visit the only science and history museum locally!
